Additional Info
Dale Sanders, also known to many as “Forty” was diagnosed with Stage 3 advanced bladder cancer this past February. It’s been a long road for Forty and his family but he is a fighter. The Sander’s family have been close friends with the Weikert’s family for many years.
In March Dale’s tumor in his bladder was causing blockage so neph tubes were placed in his kidneys to help drainage. In May, Forty started chemotherapy but an infection set in his blood and urine. He was hospitalized at Hershey Medical for 2 weeks. Surgery to remove the bladder, prostrate, and colon was planned if no further complications occured, unfortunately they were not able to proceed with the surgery due to the cancer spreading. He is still being treated at Hershey Medical center.
Dale’s road of recovery will not be easy, but we can help him and his family by showing support through the Weikert’s Livestock 11th annual golf tournament. All proceeds will go to him and his family to cover the many expenses that they will incur.
Cancer has touched all of us in one way or another. Please consider golfing, donating to the 19th Family and Friends hole, or offering a door prize. We look forward to seeing you at The Links, Friday, September 1, 2023.
